California's drought Empty California's drought

Post by Melissa, manager Fri Feb 28, 2014 3:26 pm

Even though California has had pretty good rain fall there is still a concern that there hasn't been enough to end the "drought." But California is supposed to be desert. The plants and trees grown here are often from outside the state, even country. Many of the crops sold by grocery stores are imported from other countries.

So what's really going on here? Is Califronia truely experiencing and unnatural drought or is the claim of a drought simply a ploy by the water company to justify increasing the water bill?

From article:

LOS ANGELES (AP) — California was lashed Friday by heavy rains that the parched state so desperately needs, though with the soaking came traffic snarls, power outages and the threat of mudslides.
